About the Group

We are a group of highly motivated women and allies that work in technical disciplines within open pit mining. We are from a combination of industry, consulting and academic fields, covering a range of technical disciplines involved in pit slope stability. The group welcomes everyone who supports these goals from all career stages. The common thread is that we are all interested in building community, developing initiatives, and coordinating events to encourage and support further advancement and visibility of women as technical leaders in open pit mining.

This group is about community and collaboration to increase visible representation of women in the technical community and to show visible leadership to those who currently do not see many career role models to aspire to or seek guidance from.
